How We Started & Where We Are
Ujjain Ride existed long before it had a website. What's now a full-stack B2B and D2C tour agency started as an offline taxi operation, run by a local team and driver network with 7+ years of real experience navigating Ujjain's temple corridors, ritual timings, and pilgrim traffic patterns.
I'm Piyush Govindani, Founder of Ujjain Ride and a Computer Science graduate. I built Ujjain Ride to bring that ground-level experience online. After watching pilgrims get overcharged by aggregators who'd never set foot in Ujjain — or miss the Bhasma Aarti because of bad timing advice — I formalized the operation: registering the business, building the booking platform myself, and turning years of the team's informal, word-of-mouth trust into a properly organized, transparently priced service.
Today, Ujjain Ride works both B2B — partnering with travel agencies, corporate groups, and tour operators who need reliable local execution in Ujjain — and D2C, serving pilgrims and families booking their own trip directly. The same local team and drivers who've been running these routes for 7+ years are still the ones on the ground. We just gave it a proper front door.
Our philosophy remains simple: No false promises, no surge pricing, and no surprise charges. We share a detailed booking confirmation voucher directly via WhatsApp BEFORE you pay any deposit. To ensure your booking security, we require at least a 30% advance deposit to reserve hotel rooms and vehicles, and the remaining 70% is paid directly during the trip.
